OLTP
applications designed for Oracle Sharding can elastically scale (data,
transactions and users) to any level, on any platform, simply by
deploying new shards on additional stand-alone servers. The failure or
downtime of one individual shard due to unplanned outage or planned
maintenance event only impacts the users of that shard temporarily while
the performance and availability of other shards are not affected at
all. This viewlet demonstrates the linear scalability and extreme data

is critical to keep the downtime to the minimum under any workload and
perform a fast failover to the standby in the event of primary database
outage. This demo showcases how fast a Data Guard Fast-Start Failover
across Availability Domains in Oracle Bare Metal Cloud with heavy OLTP
and query workloads across Primary & Standby databases. With Data
Guard Fast-Start Failover and MAA best practices combined with Oracle
Bare Metal Cloud infrastructure, automatic database failovers within 30
seconds and with zero data loss can be achieved. Please refer to the
